Waiting Child Match Samples
CCAI invites interested families to complete a Medical Conditions Checklist (MCC), which is your
opportunity to communicate to us the gender and age range of the child you are seeking
to adopt, as well as the medical conditions you are open to. As Waiting Children’s
files are made available, we consider those MCCs (in the order in which they arrived)
to determine a potential match. We contact individual families directly about one
child’s file, and will immediately email all available information about that child.
When your family reviews a child’s file for adoption, the information made available
from the orphanage via the China Center for Children’s Welfare & Adoption (CCCWA)
will include:
- Several photographs, including, if applicable, the physical appearance of a visible
medical condition
- A physical examination (view a sample)
- Medical information relating to the child’s condition, if available (view
a sample)
- Basic developmental information (view a sample)
- Background information, generally outlining the child’s personality, preferences,
history in the orphanage, and daily routine (view a sample)
All of this information is translated and is available for families to review when
considering a Waiting Child.
