What is a Home Study?
A home study is a written evaluation of each potential adoptive family prior to
the placement of a child in the home.
The home study process is designed to:
- prepare you for the adoption of a child;
- evaluate and recommend/approve your family for adoption of a child/ren;
- and meet state requirements.
What is Post Placement?
Once your adoption has been finalized and your child is home, adoption regulations
require the completion of regularly scheduled post placement visits and written
reports by a licensed adoption agency. These post placement reports primarily reflect
the adjustment of your new child and family. They are typically required by the
court to finalize your adoption. During post placement visits, it is CCAI’s goal
to offer you continued support and guidance as you transition your child into your
family.
Let CCAI help prepare and support you for the most exciting journey of your life!
